The beaches in Anglesey are some of the most beautiful on the planet. When I was a child, we spent our family holidays there and did nothing but grumble about why we weren’t in Spain. I was so lucky; the beaches, the old-fashioned seaside resorts, the walking and the castles. Scotland gets all the love but Wales is quietly spectacular I think.

Boy do I get it. My childhood long, I mourned not summering in Florida while toughing it out in pristine, authentic Prince Edward Island. It's a personal dream of mine to check out Anglesey. My Canadian pal's ancestor was the sherrif!

Your note SO brightened my Tuesday morning. We all need that, it’s such a dreadful time at the moment. Thrilled you and Dennis had such a great time. North Wales is now on the bucket list and Wern Cottages duly noted. Thank you so much🤩

Love everything about this and you even used my favourite word 'cor'. I love it so much I wrote a whole post about it https://maggiealderson.substack.com/p/cor and YES to Newells in Porthmadog. First stop every school holiday (always spent there).

When I visited Plas Newydd, I always thought someone should write a book about this Marquess! I’m glad there’s a film coming out. Then again, I always think that when I visit Tatton Park and think that about Lord Egerton who seems to be a quirky character too!

You can still write it! As far as I know, there’s no book about him and it could be hilarious and interesting. 🤔☺️

Idyllic, and Dennis looks so happy! And I always thought Lucy Punch deserved a lead role.

Tip top stuff this week!! Aristocratic spats and pictures of Dennis are exactly what we need at the moment. Looking forward to the film about Henry Paget. He was quite a character.

May I suggest comedian Daniel Foxx’s Oldman Insurance sketches à propos of baby trapping and certain attorneys?
